I feel like the "where" should have been decided before you announced anything
The meetup is in london so it would be a big mistake to book a venue that is too small, at the same time it would be funny to book a big hall with only 20 attendees. What size venue would you have booked?
@HenryEYES I didn't say I would have booked a venue before posting. I said I would have decided/posted what you were planning/intending to do before you announced anything, even if those plans change.
So far all I know is drinking is happening, which could mean anything from sitting outside in a park with some cans to a midnight rave. The point I'm trying to make is; I think more people would be happy to confirm if they're coming or not if there was a more solid idea of what's gonna happen.
no stress, I put this lil part here to kinda illustrate what the vibe will be:
"I'm hoping it will be a low-key meetup, we are probably gonna rent a space and have a live stream going. We haven't figured out whether to have the meet at a bar or at a rented hall yet. bla bla bla..."
Also, the meet up time was set at 2pm, not sure what else to say, we really are just a bunch of nerds having a get together.
Sorry if the announcement isn't well written, I mentioned at the bottom that I broke my ribs and had my foot impaled, so that kinda kept me from being able to really sort things out till the last moment. I'm still kinda whacked out from all that.
@HenryEYES I think that's a big improvement! Tell me more about the live stream. Specifically how you'll make sure people who don't want to be on the live stream, won't be. Thanks!
